Cocoa Beach Party
I've been working and reworking this piece all through my radiation. I'm not happy with it but have to call it done for now. My question is, can the viewer -- that's all my lovely readers-- feel that? What does it make you think of and what are you most curious about in the collage?

The fireballs make me want to duck away, but there's no escaping. I want to lift the blond beauty's legs out of the barbeque. It hurts.
I think you're done.
Thank you for posting this, Melissa.
i love this!! i love that lobster claw. i want to eat it.
I've been rather mad at myself after writing my first comment about Cocoa Beach Party. The collage still seems painful to me. I wanted to reply to your request for opinions, but maybe I should have been more upbeat or not said anything at all. I sort of thought I'd get the ball rolling with replies, but for a long time only my dark interpretation was hanging out there. Please say what you intended and how it makes you feel. Did I make anything worse?
No, No don't worry. Your comments were welcome. No need to be falsely upbeat here. I appreciated it. I've actually reworked the piece a little. But I find it hard to look at, both because I worked on it during radiation treatment and it took so darn long to finish. I'll post some new work soon. Please don't hesitate to comment off the cuff here -- that's the nature of the blog as a communication tool! best. M
That's a welcome reply. Thank you. Some blogs have a waiting period before comments are posted (to be ok'd first), but I like how yours go right to print. It makes me feel like we're livin' on the edge here.
